As with other parts of the assault on vice in the city, the effort was actually led by federal agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the arrest also makes mention of possible involvement in &#8220;white-slavery,&#8221; a longstanding euphemism for white female prostitutes (the implication being that no white women would choose to be a prostitute).
