Bradley President Dr. Talman Van Arsdale responded to recent protests by the black Student Alliance by releasing a “Statement of Principles” that, among other things, established a Black Culture House “for the enrichment of the total Bradley University Community.”<\/p>\n
Van Arsdale continued on to explain that “Black students, in particular, because of exclusivism and discrimination, are in need of special programs and help if they are to realize their full academic potential.”<\/p>\n
The “Statement of Principles” included eight provisions specifically addressing discrimination in additional areas such as housing, faculty, and counseling.<\/p>\n
