His two assailants netted an impressive amount of cash \u2014 $160 according to this article ($106 according to a court record).<\/p>\n<p>LeRoy Pryor was <a title=\"LeRoy Pryor Indicted by Grand Jury\" href=\"http:\/\/www.becomingrichardpryor.com\/pryors-peoria\/1945\/03\/01\/leroy-pryor-indicted-by-grand-jury\/\">arraigned by a Peoria grand jury<\/a> as one of the two men guilty of the assault.<\/p>\n<p>Curiously, Dotson was rooming at 105 Jackson Street \u2014 the same address where Richard&#8217;s Uncle Dickie and Aunt Maxine lived in 1941, and just across the street from the address where Richard&#8217;s mother Gertrude lived in 1941.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Though LeRoy Pryor served \u2014 briefly \u2014 in the Army during World War II, the experience did not seem to leave him with a fond regard for all servicemen.
