The woman who first saw Richard Pryor’s performance potential left an enormous legacy in Peoria, the African American community and the nation through her work as an artist and mentor.
She was remembered by Percy Baker, the Executive Director of the George Washington Carver Association, as “sacrificing her own personal life to help promote positive futures for many of our children in the Peoria community.”
